The USD hasn't corrected much against major trading partners, so the index value doesn't mean much. Correcting against major trading partners will cause depression everywhere because in US it will cause people to buy much less and our trade partners will export much less. Right now US overconsumes and the rest of the world overproduces. Do you see it differently?
