It's amazing what a weekend in the mountains can do for a dude like myself. I come back recharged, rejuvenated, and clear minded. I don't know whether it has to do with the fresh air, the tall trees, furry little creatures, cool, crisp, clean lake water, the sound of the breeze finding it's way through the woods, or could it possibly have something to do with the amount of DEET absorbed into my skin after using up nearly an entire can of Off Brand Insect Repellant. Man oh man do I get a good high off those chemicals. It's either that or the master race of Adirondack black-flies that see through that cloud of chemicals and inject that itchy venom of theirs into my skin and veins. Bug venom is like heroine. I feel wonderful. Came back feeling at one with mother earth. Whatever stress I had on Friday was melted away by Sunday afternoon and was carried away down that same roaring brook along with February's snow. I need to get up there more often. -NatureBouy
