I don't think we're ready to elect a black man and black woman in this country. Hanging in there with a touch of racism, are you? Nope, just being realistic; don't think this country is ready to elect an all black ticket where one of the two people is a woman. We have a populous section of the country that lags the rest of us. Personally, I don't know of a single conservative who would veto a ticket on the basis of race. I'm not surprised.....when the situation is touchy, conservatives never admit the real reason why they will not vote for someone. In this case, they'll say Powell is too liberal and Rice too inexperienced. Race? Never an issue with a conservative.......at least not in public.
