Of course Bushies falsified intel. Used erroneous claims, out-of-date reports, false accusations, false alarms, exaggerations, hearsay, pretending it was the Saddam 20 years ago when he was fully armed (partly by the Reaganites like Rumsfield).

Iraqi refugees and intelligence agencies were pressured to make exaggerated reports of Saddam's weaponry, all to make the chickenhawks happy and justify unilateral rush to war. As for the motives, oil and stealing the November election from the lousy economic issues.

John Kerry told me personally a year ago he knew for a fact Bush had already decided to go to war no matter what weapons Saddam had or didn't have, that Kerry got not from US intel, but from a buddy of his in Blair's defence ministry. That's why Kerry didn't fight the war effort more, because he knew Bush was going to go to war anyway, it might be popular after 9-11 especially, and who wants to support Saddam in any way or form?

Anyway, the Bushies cooked the books and the facts to suit their war plans. Is that a crime? You betcha. Big-time.
