The rules actually sound pretty reasonable. So the key is to look at those disclosed earnings (usually not in the press release I assume) and the dilution effect of more shares.

What do you think about options ? Is the average individual investor getting the real picture of earnings here ? Do you think the press and financial analysts should do a better job of reporting these effects ? What about the effect on inflation ?? You know, that's all you here these days. Low inflation.

I guess p/es will continue to rise. It sounds like they will go up from dilution even if the stock doesn't. Perhaps, someday this bubble will pop.
