TIKRIT, Iraq, June 9 — Attacks on American troops are growing in frequency and sophistication across central Iraq, a crescent of discontent and hostility where many Iraqis remain opposed to the U.S. occupation of their country.
ALMOST EVERY DAY, well-organized groups of assailants using assault rifles, rocket-propelled grenades and mortars are ambushing U.S. Army convoys, patrols, checkpoints, garrisons and public offices used by troops to interact with the civilian population.
In response, U.S. forces are trying to crush resistance through house-to-house searches, arms seizures and deadly force, in some cases with fatal consequences for innocent bystanders.

But wait a minute! Shrub was in a drug induced stupor and went AWOL when HE had a chance to fight for his country and Cheney was toooooooooooooo busy to fight for his country. And Delay the Termite Man, couldn't find a slot in the military because all those poor kids had taken them and needed the work.
Sort of like the two Talking Heads on RightWing Radio yesterday talking about how ONLY two hundred US soldier died in the Iraqi War and how low this number was, and how the war ended on a "Happy Note". Yep! They said it ended with "Happy Results"...only wish they could find the time to call the parents and love ones of the two hundred that died and tell them about how Happy everyone is and mention their own personal participation in the military and fighting in real shooting wars.
