Hi X, We a had wonderful weekend with our Bay area, art-loving friends. One of the highlights being attending the Frida Kahlo/Diego Rivera art exhibit. We all decided we liked Frida's work the best. Her spirit overcoming such physical and mental hardship is remarkable... Anyway, searching the web for Frida, myhero.com I hit upon this link you might fun and useful, "My Hero". myhero.com They feature great people through history, many overcoming hardship and adversity to achieve great heights. Hit the directory to find the list from angels (Princess Di types and just regular people), animals, artist explorers, earth keepers, sports figures and teachers, etc.. :).. BTW, I did not notice one military person.. <g> They even have a section for teachers to relate these great people's life stories to middle grade-type students... <g> Anyway I thought you might have fun with it, even if you have found it before.. m
