som: SIII & ACTC

ACTC had a nice climb today and is well positioned to grow more if whatever is fueling the jump continues. Volume was good but I didn't see any news that drove it up.

SIII is looking overbought, although it is still well below its peak of $24 something in the last year. 11 days ago, and again 4 days ago it had some large fund buy-ins that rocketed the price up - this says they expect to see growth. But if you look at the intraday you see mostly smaller buys for the last 3 days (small is relative here). I am not surprised to see it leveling at this point. On the plus side, one analyst of the 10 or so that follow it upgraded it from Buy to Strong Buy last week. On 7/31 I said there was proably enough intraday action to see where it was heading, and thats still the case. If you are really strong on getting this one, just watch for it to close at some higher resistance - above 16 in any case.

Both look good for continued improvement, although if I were going to put money on either, I would probably choose ACTC for three reasons - 1) it can generate a higher % profit quicker, 2) its closer to the start of a climb, and 3) the huge climb that SIII has made over the last 5 weeks and the recent softening makes it suspect for the continued growth at this rate.

My only caveat would be to watch the open to mid-morning activity on ACTC to see if its going to sustain its climb. I didn't run either of these through the net or TA analysis as I don't have detailed daily data for it (pennies a day per ticker mount up after awhile), but from experience at looking at price/volume charts and current market tendencies, thats my best guess.
