while the WSJ ignores the gas crisis, it's getting face time in the Financial Times (the only good business paper). front page yesterday and quotes from Weissman today. a lot of pressure seems to be coming from industrial lobby groups--you know, the industries who are on the business end of demand destruction at NG with a six-handle. i wonder if there have been any studies done regarding what the economic consequences will be of this lost industrial base in America. this could be the back side of the gas crisis, which itself is the back side of the energy crisis (oil being the celebrity crisis).

now if only supermarkets stocked FT in their tabloid section, maybe Americans would start conserving. otherwise we'll have to wait for the inevitable Time Magazine natural gas horror story on the cover this coming winter.
