OK instead of waiting for hard evidence-- It was up to Iraq to provide any/all evidence of past/current programs, not inspectors to find it, you certainly can't tell me Iraq was forthright in assisting us in this endeavor. letting inspections go on-- for what, another 12 years, with nothing but attempts at concealement and more time to develop the programs the entire world knew about? getting the world behind them.-- That would never happen, no matter how concrete the evidence was, as long as pockets were being lined in sufficient quantities ... Don't forget, (and I'm not bringing up Clinton to smear here), under Clintons administration, all the same evidence and reports were pointed to, remember Daschle's any means necessary in regards to Iraq back in '98? The ENTIRE world community was in agreement that Iraq was not cooperating, just that different ways to solve the problem were presented. Our leader chose to take the hard line and show some spine, most likely in an attempt to point to our enemies that we will not continue to back down. |
