Nixon II

After you’ve seen as many administrations as I have, comparisons are inevitable. Frequently Dubya’s boyz are referred to as Bush II. On one level that’s self-evident and irrefutable. On another, and more important level, that statement is far from the truth. Although, containing many of the same people, the domestic and foreign policy of the current administration differ dramatically from Bush I. Both in terms of remolding America into a twisted “conservative” nightmare with greatly reduced freedoms and citizen’s rights, and a grandiose design to remake the world into a subservient minion of the US, this administration, to me most closely resembles Nixon’s. If it will fight as corruptly for re-election, the next year and half could get more than a little interesting.
