It can also be caluclated as such: $10.7M/.8 = 13.375million shares

Isn't it possible they were using the number of shares that were outstanding as of the end of last quarter?

If they did lose $10.7M and there are 44 million shares outstanding, then the lose is $0.243 per share.

IMO you're the one who loves to leave misleading messages.
