OT. Thanks for the World Oil reference. Nothing is as simple as it seems when it comes to climate change.

The unpublished article has nothing to do with the relationship between oil and global warming, it is only a review of temperatures in the past. Nothing supporting or detracting can be said about theory that greenhouse gas causes global warming. The only thing that can be said is that at some point in the past things might have been warmer than they are now.

If the middle ages were warmer than current temperatures, this does not mean that current concerns of global warming are unfounded.

If we were getting colder instead of warmer, would it make sense to say "We had an ice age and we came through that ok, so let's not worry about bringing it back"?
