Why? Reagan appeared to be half the man Gorbochev was. Gorbachov caused communist rule in the USSR to end by accident. He was trying to make it a bit more open and humane and released forces that he couldn't control and that he was not brutal enough to put down. We should all be glad that he was not brutal enough to drown the anti-communist movements in a sea of blood, but that hardly qualifies him as such a great leader or peacemaker. Tim
