this is really great stuff brian , and demonstrates that there is no time in reality where there is pagan , and then christian . Jesus was not the beginning of anything , just part of a greater sweep of events that had already taken shape in the hearts of man ....or at least any reasoned , feeling thinking man . There never was a contest of who is saved and who is not by following some ritual worship or in some certain direction or some holy house or premise.
God is above and beyond all these words in any case , but it is nice to see them so elegantly expressed so much farther back than a "christian" would ever like to admit.
This world is not filled with believers and unbelievers , God is also greater than this and revealed himself to all , all the time down the line . That's why you have Chrishna over in India , and Buddha , or others over to the east in China...or these deeply felt thoughts by these greek writers revealing their inner selves.
God is so much greater than you give him/her credit for...it's beyond words really ...and certainly beyond earthly boundries of race color creed or even religion which advantages itself with all these labels.
But I thought you who were saved , would already know this....but you want to play little games . |
