Kyrosi,
I am a Jew. Our history makes it impossible for us to allow civilian jews to be exterminated anywhere in the world without us taking the actions that are open to us. In the US, that may involve fund raising to help our fellow Jews cope. In israel, it is a military response.
I dont think this response would be different for other nationalaties either. If you remember that last horrific period where almost 100 civilians were killed in a series of restaurant/bus/mall bombings in a matter of days, would you expect any people to not respond, hoping for a miracle to occur in Palestine? I wont accept such a future for myself here in NY vis a vis the terrorist, nor one for the Israelis or the Greeks for that matter if they were the next victims. Give peace a chance is a noble thought but both sides need to work toward it, not just talk about it. You are a good guy as i think I am. Both of us feel for the Palestinian people. The terrorists are the worse thing that has happened to them both in political terms as well as what it has done to them as a people. And the occupation has not been a good thing for the Jews either, i know. mike
