I'd'a not gotten that reference if it weren't for the current movie ads. Well I gotta go and *try* to talk my car into starting. Do you ever do that: talk in a cajoling voice to a recalcitrant vehicle like it was a stubborn tot? I think the technique is called autosuggestion.
