Cramer Here's a market that's begging for some supply. It wants supply. It needs supply. And in the absence of it, we have buyers taking the market higher as we search higher and higher for sellers. Today's market sure wasn't driven by news. We got a criminal probe in Freddie Mac (FRE:NYSE - news - commentary - research - analysis) and downgrades galore in Texas Instruments (TXN:NYSE - news - commentary - research - analysis). Oil exploded to a 12-week high. That's the real news and it was all negative. No, what drove the Dow up 126 points and the Nazz up 18 points was more amorphous: portfolio managers desperate to put capital to work to keep pace with each other! That, plus, once again, interest rates fell to levels that most of us have never seen before in our lives. Without that bond competition, everyone from pension plans to hedge funds hunted around for yield and took up the stocks that offered above-average dividends, as technology actually cooled. This market's hiatus is now over. It looks like 9500 on the Dow happens sooner rather than later. Amazing, just amazing. thestreet.com Jack
