Morgan Stanley Cuts Telik Stake, Liquidates J. Jill Stake

WASHINGTON -(Dow Jones)- Morgan Stanley reduced its stake in one company and liquidated in another on Wednesday, according to amended Schedule 13G filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission (News - Websites).
Morgan Stanley cut its stake in biopharmaceutical company Telik Inc. (NasdaqNM:TELK - News) to 4.55% from 10.47%. The investment firm held about 1.63 million Telik common shares as of June 10, compared with about 3.71 million shares Feb. 18.
In addition, Morgan Stanley liquidated its stake in women's apparel retailer J. Jill Group Inc. (NasdaqNM:JILL - News) , according to a separate filing Wednesday. The firm previously held a 7.07% stake, with beneficial ownership of about 1.38 million common shares at Feb. 13.
A Schedule 13G denotes a passive investment stake in a company. Filers aren't required to provide a reason for any changes in stake and aren't required to detail any transactions.
