kurt...heres a little sequence of events that might help you....

last thursday night i made the post about a "fast nasty" coming soon.....that was seen on the weekly 100 ema on both nasdaq and spx.....after an extended rally.....most of the resistance targets will be seen on the weekly and monthly charts.....you have to watch those close or you won't have a clue of the upside potential.....and resistance that needs to passed to keep the rally going.....

but "early" in a rally...most of the resistance points are seen on the "daily charts....."late" in an extended rally...you switch to the weekly and monthly charts....

so we pierced those weekly ema's and the fast nasty started.....

so a top point was made......i then said the drop should be held in by the daily 9 ema around 1600 at that time......

you see...on the daily chart the 9 ema was the first support seen.....and in bull moves as i mentioned earlier....."riding the 9" is very bullish.....

so early in the rally the daily chart was needed to see early resistance.....but now...."late" in the extended rally....the daily chart is now needed to see "first support"......

the charts get flipped around after extended rallies like this.....

so...friday started the fast nasty after piercing those ema's...monday we dropped to near that 9 ema at 1597...

tuesday morning before the market i made this post....

always after big downs like that was.....your first thought needs to be "go on AV watch".....thats the time to do it....

notice how i said "sto's but in "certain" timeframes"....and the rsi-5....

you know those timeframes won't be on the weekly or monthly charts after just two days down.....so the obvious timeframes are 30-60 min charts and daily charts.....

since you know my sto's...i use the fast 180...slow 89..as my long range sto's.....but they are superior in the 30-60 min frames for seeing trends.....this whole rally started months ago on a solid AV on the fast 180 60min....

so like i said....yesterday was AV watch....and indeed we did get AV on the rsi-5 and my ADX-4 went bullish......all before my "daily" sto's did....thats why you have other indicators...in fast frames to give you an earlier read...but my 30-60 min sto's i mentioned also got AV.....

thats why i made the post last night that in either scenario...shorts were going to get toasted today....

you see....it didn't come on the daily sto's....it came on the minute charts "first"....and other faster indicators...

so you see....you don't have to wait for the daily sto's to AV first....you can see whats coming in earlier frames....

thats why you have 1 min...5min....15min..30min...60min....daily...weekly...

monthly charts....you can even get quarterly charts on a different site.....you use these in progression to confirm things or get an earlier peek at whats coming on the other frames....

btw...this rally is heading for a certain "quarterly ema".....very few have a clue about that....

anyway...the last few days from 1597 to 1640's was AV on the earlier timeframes....so they did their jobs getting this going.....now....yes....its daily watch time.....but you don't want to see the 30 or 60 min get ugly...or they will pull certain daily sto's down past AV.....but never forget...the "trailing full sto"....thats always the key and the strongest AV.....the slow and fast could flop around and drop under 50 all they want....but as long as that full sits up near AV....no rally is ever going to end.....full sto has the final say.....

and since you know my indicators i believe....if you want to study a real AV power move on my indicators....

study a chart of LEN.....this charts shows everything i ever said about AV on this thread and using my indicators mentioned....

if after seeing that chart....and you still don't understand AV....well.....you never will get it.....that chart speaks for itself and the sequence of my sto combo....and other indicators....and also notice how LEN was "riding the 9"......

anyway...i am on daily AV watch now also....but of course still using the 30-60min also....
