You can't take land and keep it without overwhelming force.

They didn't just take land in 1967; they defended themselves and took the land in the process. They offered land for peace many times and were refused. It's not the land, it's the refusal to accept Israel inside any borders. And Israel fought the 67 war with French arms, strange as it seems today. But in 1967, the French dumped Israel like a hot potato.

The only times it has been quiet in the Mideast is when the Israelis behaved like real hard asses. When they give concessions in the hope of peace, the Arabs become more radical. Not universally true, but always true for the Palestinians, the perfect proxy force, the dopes.

You don't have to whine about how mean the Arabs have been to the Palestinians to note how anomalous their position is when compared to literally every other refugee group of the twentieth century - and there were a hundred million refugees in the twentieth century. No other group has third and fourth generations of "refugees" growing up in UN maintained camps. No, you don't have to whine to note that the Arab governments have deliberately maintained the refugee situation as a festering sore. At US taxpayer expense, I might add.
