IN PURSUIT OF NORTH AMERICA’S LARGEST GREENSTONE BELT
Committee Bay Resources has pioneered gold exploration in this region and has discovered over 40 gold occurrences with grades up to 1800 g Au per tonne. Gold exists within several lithologies including iron formation, mafic and felsic volcanic rocks and greywacke. The gold mineralization is related to large scale regional shear zones.

The 300 km long Committee Bay Greenstone Belt represents the northern extension of the same rock units which host the 3,000,000 oz Meadowbank gold resource of Cumberland Resources located approximately 150 km to the southwest. CBR has proprietary data covering the belt that was generated through over $6,000,000 worth of regional exploration since 1992. Several of the projects are at the drill stage and the Company anticipates a major exploration program consisting primarily of diamond drilling to commence early in 2003.

2002 EXPLORATION PROGRAM

The 2002 field program comprised of prospecting, rock and till sampling and geological mapping primarily at the Wolf Lake West, Wolf Lake East, and Hayes River North project areas within the southwest portion of the Committee Bay Greenstone Belt. Several of the projects are at the drill ready stage and the Company anticipates an aggressive exploration program consisting primarily of diamond drilling to commence early in 2003.

2003 EXPLORATION PROGRAM UNDERWAY

A $1.2 million exploration program is planned for 2003. 20 diamond drill holes will be drilled (2000m) on seven high priority targets. In addition,
an aggressive sampling, mapping and/or EM survey program will be conducted on all the gold targets across the Committee Bay Belt.
