NFLX market cap is $500million, it has over 1 million customers who pay $240/year. This means the company is valued at $500 per customer, which equals 2 years of subscription fees. This is low compared with how cable or satellite companies are valued if you use the same metric. Sure one can argue that NFLX does not have the high barrier to entry as DISH or Comcast, but NFLX also does not have the high cost of infrastructure except a shipping center in every large city.
