I tell Jay he doens't believe me. Demographics will demolish Japan. Here's why:

The daughters of the babyboomers -born end of 60's and early 70's have just passed their prime child bearing age. Birth rate today reached 1.32 / woman.

Need 2.1 just for replenishment. While duirng this short period there is a lot of money in Japan not being consumed by people below 15 years of age, thus giving a sense of wealth, the split old/young is going to work against Japan.
