aired a short clip Saw von Rumsfeld on the tube. He was saying that it was elements of Saddam's régime that were responsible for the continued killing of American soldiers. Maybe so, now. But IMO throughout the Muslim world, the call in the mosques is for volunteers to go liberate Iraq from the infidels. That’s what it means when the most holy of Sunni clerical schools calls for jihad to oust the unbelievers from the umma. So as Saddam based resistance to the occupation gradually subsides, it will (again IMO) be more than replaced by religious zealotry. And the killing will go on and on and … Remember how all of the Arabs were supposed to be so cowed by American military prowess, that a “new era” would commence in the Israeli peace process. Guess Hamas didn’t get the message. The naïve lack of understanding by the neo-cons would be laughable were it not so deadly. JMO lurqer
