Hello Joe,

> So Scott. You're answering everyone but me. REF #15118. So?

Don't take it personally ... I'm not always sure that I have much to contribute to some of your posts. And your question is phrased that you ask for information that (I believe) you fully understand would not be proper to discuss in a public forum.

I will, however, take my best shot in my next posting ...

> Without ambiguity do you have any answers?

I have my own opinions about how to accomplish much of what you are asking. But if you are asking for the "official Novell strategy" then I'm not sure I'm the one to disclose this.

I can express my opinions inside the company, but I can't direct other Novell employees to respond to your questions. I will say that I'm sure they are hesitant to respond as you are known to spar well and attack with passion. Many people don't know how to deal with that.

That's a little bit of contradiction ... "going to do" seems to imply the future ... I'm sure that what you are after is "what is Novell doing" ... ;-)

I don't know that I agree with you on this last point. I'm reminded of a story I learned as a child about some pigs building houses. I remember a pig that built a house, very quickly, out of straw. It might have looked good, and the parties could begin, however it was a very short lived, tactical solution. I was taught to recognize this as "extreme tactical" thinking. There was another pig, that was made fun of by the others, all because he was toiling to create a foundation for the future. This was "strategic foundation work". I think you might agree that both are necessary for success. I believe in what is happening at Novell.
