A lot of alarmism, but what conclusion?

- the monetary system is a "house of cards"

- there's fraud in r.e. appraisals and financing

... does that either mean

(a)values decline if the "house of cards stays standing", but decline gradually along with GDP and average earnings, or

(b)values are retained or even go up if the house of cards falls around us and becomes massive inflation where the only real store of value is gold/hard assets/real estate ??
