Why do taxpayers sit and scratch their heads and say they can't understand where all the surplus tax monies went to? ... Pissed it all away...

Hi Kerry,

Facing a massive budget gap this year, our illustrious legislature solved the problem by passing a sales tax on studded tires and raiding the budget reserve.

Given that the special studded tire tax will be about as remunerative as an Arizona tax on saguaro cactus jelly, our governor is sharpening up his veto pen and preparing to whack various revenue-sharing and entitlement programs that don't even exist in other states. Gotta admit I'm having quite a giggle about the shocked screaming and whining from the affected parties. Meanwhile, the local tire companies are gearing up to sell a whole lot of studded tires before the new tax goes into effect! <ggg>
