We are in other words totally unfit to wield the power that we have, imo. I couldn't disagree more. Somebody is going to wield power in the world. And the world is frankly lucky its us. What we have done may be worse than what Saddam has done. Oh my God. What you've charged America with is hypocrisy. Even assuming for the sake of argument that the charge was warranted, what kind of morality equates hypocrisy with the slaughter, torture, and rape of hundreds of thousands of people? Which is what Saddam did. Re. the UN in the first place, it has never been what you I think you would like it to be. And it isn't and never shall be sovereign over the US.
