Oy, did he pick the wrong job. Who talked him into it? Probably only he and Abu Ala were acceptable to both the US and the PA (= Arafat & the PLC). Abu Ala refused it. So he got stuck with it. Now Arafat is sabotaging him. Quelle surprise.

Sometimes I wonder if Bush and Sharon are going through this exercise just to show they tried & blame the failure on the Palestinians. But it is unlike Bush to wantonly throw away political capital like this.
