You totally missed my points

- genetic studies can be tweaked any way under
suitable circumstances

- After 1989 it became very popular to find "jewish ancestors" in Russia and an instant flight out of Russia.

- name studies are also funny

Btw, the oldest full records on births, deaths, names,
marriages, moving here, moving there, etc are found in
Scandinavia since the churches started to keep track
in the 1600s.

Additionally, due to a national healthcare system some
important genes are also systematically tracked.
Additionally the material is available for other purposes
but without the name on the samples.
(and every know and then another "american study" is
proven wrong, as scandinavian studies cover the whole
population, not just the handpicked and sorted
individuals. Most of those "twin studies" have gone
the tube)

Obviously Kovalyov is slavic, just like Russia is
swedish (in case you neurons don't click, due those
rowing rus guys and Novgorod = new yard = new market)

Btw, similar to New York from York from Jor-vik, a
place were one equip ships (from old norse skiba,
both equip and ship)

New York also represents many examples of how
names were changed and adapted.
