glad you noticed big drop in consumer confidence
what I find remarkable is that the masses still mistakenly believe that increased consumption can save the economy from recession, when that very consumption is largely financed by yet more household debt
we need to save more, reduce the dollar, then bring back jobs and mfg plant to the USA not gonna happen in my lifetime so we cling to the lunatic notion that our economy can be founded upon printing money, trading pieces of paper in debt & corporate equity (stock), borrow money, and spend it, even as we export $500 billion per year to foreign mfg nations
this country is lunatic I see energy prices, job losses, and imported price inflation torpedoing the economic recovery that so stubbornly refused to gain traction
does anyone have an opinion on any of this? or are the next 5-6 posted messages going to pertain to WMD, Congress, Bushy, Blair, Saddam, AlQaeda, terrorism, and other background noise while our nation sinks into the depths of bankruptcy ???????????????????? / jim |
