This reminds of something I read a few years back. Doctors in Buffalo were curing heart disease by removing half the heart. Supposedly, in S. America, some doctor found this out. I think testing proceedures were minimal down there. Regardless it worked. Problem is, it was too cheap and too effective. I don't hear anymore about it now.
