Universal Communications Systems Inc. Chairman, Michael J. Zwebner Wins Suit vs. John Does Anonymous Foundation

MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 13, 2003--

Awarded Damages for Internet Postings That Caused Emotional Distress

Universal Communications Systems Inc. (OTCBB:UCSY), company chairman Michael J. Zwebner today announced that he has won an "award of damages" in the law suit that he brought against the John Does Anonymous Foundation Inc., in October 2000 in the US District Court in Portland Oregon.

In a final ruling made on June 2nd by Judge Garr M. King, the court entered an award in the amount of $50,000 in damages against the JDAF in favor of Michael J. Zwebner. In a statement made today by Michael Zwebner, he stated that: "For almost three years I fought this case in the cause of justice and fairness. This court ruling now sends a clear message to all Internet Posters that The US Judicial System will not tolerate false and malicious Internet postings that cause emotional distress to any person. All perpetrators can expect to be punished and made to pay for their actions."

Mr. Zwebner confirms that he will seek all avenues to enforce the judgment and obtain what he has been awarded.
