A Down Day Is a Chance to Put Money to Work
Friday June 13, 2:26 pm ET

By James J. Cramer,

Washout Friday. Lots of profit-taking. I wish I could pinpoint more than that. I don't buy the consumer confidence stuff as a real reason to sell, just as a possible short-term blip.

After such a huge run, the temptation is to wait until we have gotten to some appreciably lower level. My experience is that such thinking doesn't get you anywhere. We are in a benign market. You should have your shopping list and you should be bidding for stocks that had gotten away from you, which you wanted to own.
