Which looks like the market went nowhere from '66 to '83. Wrong. Adjust the prices for inflation, and you'll see the low in '82 is way, way below '66. The idea of preserving capital, isn't just to preserve some number on a bank account record, but the purchasing power. Some of today's younger players may have to learn this - if pump-pump Greenspan continues to print.
