Are we going to keep debating the justification for the war until doomsday? The war is over. We won. Why can't they just get over it?

I would agree with you, in general. But the war is still going on, although on a limited scale And there is still a chance that we'll need to step up operations against other countries should they opt to provide aid and comfort to the Baathist remnants of Saddam's regime (Syria comes to mind).

And like Vietnam, until we can win the peace, as well as the war, the whole subject of whether we were justified in getting involved will be applicable. If only to maintain continued support for the operation until Iraq can be fully stabilized and US forces can significantly decrease our presence there.

To say nothing in opposition to those who believe the US acted illegally, is tantamount to surrender by silence.

However, I admit that it is tedious.
