if you're being rebated the fica taxes, you shouldn't be credited the fica wages that are used to calculate the benefits. it's no wonder that the system isn't financially viable. when the payroll taxes are raised again, it'll only be damaging the employment prospects of the same economic strata that they claim to want to help.
