OT--this is our first night without them for about 3 months. The goose was honking at us like crazy when we left them. We went back an hour and a half later and they were out of sight. In Texas there may be a total of one (1) real lake. The rest are dammed up rivers. So they had floated quite a ways with the current. But we barely saw them and started yelling, and they swam all the way back to us, very glad to see us. I'd love to keep them but we are leaving for about 3 1/2 weeks and I think coyotes would take advantage. I'll get something else to raise as soon as we get back, maybe a couple Spanish turkey chicks and a couple ducklings. I'd like to replicate your story, too. That is very cool. Thanks.
