Technical questions:

I'm thinking of getting an HP Desktop (either the 515n with memory upgrade to 512MB, or the 725n -$649/$699).

Some questions arise - the 515 has Front Side Bus of 400 MHz while the 725 is only 266 MHz. As someone who regularly has 6 or 7 windows running when trading and/or net surfing, is the larger Bus what I need? - or is there another spec I should look at (secondary level cache or memory speed for example) where 725s numbers are better. The 515 has an Intel Celeron 2.3 processor while the 725 is an AMD XP 2.0 - I assume either will do the trick.

Also, I've heard some people avoid HP like the plague, but many others have recommended them highly - any thoughts in that regard? Is there a place to get "objective" ratings?

Thanks so much for helping out someone who knows just enough about computers to be dangerous!
