NTT COMWARE Purchases 32Direct UNIX to Linux Migration Solution from MigraTEC
June 16, 2003 09:26:00 AM ET

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 16, 2003--NTT COMWARE CORPORATION, one of Japan's leading systems integrators, has purchased an enterprise license for MigraTEC's 32Direct Linux migration solution. MigraTEC MIGR is a leading provider of application migration solutions.

Under the terms of the agreement, NTT COMWARE will license MigraTEC's 32Direct Unix to Linux solutions to deliver application migrations internally to NTT COMWARE and externally to its enterprise customers.

"MigraTEC's 32Direct is now a key technology component for NTT COMWARE's growing Linux porting and migration business," said Toshikazu Watanabe, senior manager, NTT COMWARE Business Development. "NTT COMWARE and its customers will be able to rapidly migrate from legacy UNIX platforms to Intel-based Linux systems, achieving lower total cost of ownership while improving price/performance and choice of solutions."

MigraTEC's 32Direct dramatically reduces the risk, time and cost of application migrations, allowing systems integrators and enterprises to manage the transformation process more predictably and efficiently.

"After working with NTT Comware for several months, we are pleased to be taking this significant step to help them grow their Linux migration business, using MigraTEC's technology and methodology," said Wes Blair, senior vice president of sales, marketing and delivery, MigraTEC. "We look forward to the continued development of our relationship."
