Vaughn,

You can review RSA's website to see all their products and compare them with Certicom's to see in what areas they compete.

In some areas, they are direct competitors, and in others they are not. RSA had total revenue last quarter of over $61 million, with about $5.7 million coming from encryption products. The year before, they had $6.3 million in revenue from encryption, or a decrease of about 10%. Certicom on the other hand had $3.8 million in revenue a year ago, and reported just $2.4 million this past quarter, a 37% decline.

Certicom does not have an exclusive agreement with NSA, FAA or any other Federal agency. Every agency, especially NSA, can have hundreds of security projects going on at once using multiple vendors and multiple technologies.
