MRV Communications files $20 million stock shelf June 16, 2003 5:35:00 PM ET WASHINGTON, June 16 (Reuters) - MRV Communications Inc. (MRVC) on Monday filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission to periodically sell up to $20 million in common stock. The Chatsworth, California-based company said it plans to use the proceeds from the shelf offering for general corporate purposes, including capital spending and working capital. MRV provides high bandwidth Ethernet access solutions and fiber-optical components. Its stock closed 2 cents higher at $2.55 on Nasdaq. Under a shelf registration, a company may sell securities in one or more separate offerings with the size, price and terms to be determined at the time of sale.
