This is important, IMO, Ghostrider.. It certainly seems to be a setback for women's right in the UAE. However, I don't know what the Crown Prince's other views with regard to the regional situation. But clearly it seems to be important given the period of time he held that title:

The decree met with resistance from supporters of Sheikh Khaled bin Saqr al-Qassimi, 63, who had held the title for more than four decades.
