The windmill FARMS I have seen are set up ACROSS VALLEYS where the wind is naturally channelled through. They occupy the ENTIRE VALLEY taking up every usable space (wouldnt you if you were renting the land?). I call them inefficient cause it would take VAST QUANTIES of same to even provide enough power for a small city.
As to Coal, Cheney is just being realistic, we need energy NOW, we still got OODLES of coal in this country. Technology has progressed to where burning coal is MUCH cleaner then in the past. However, if the silly rules on Nuclear Energy didnt exist making plants prohibitively expensive we would be doing that instead. I understand FRANCE gets about 90% of their energy now from Nuclear.
