TOWN HALL MEETING WITH THE SEC - AUTHOR LEVITT.

This afternoon from 4 to 6 pm, I was fortunate to be able to attend a town hall meeting here in Tulsa which was hosted by Author Levitt, the Chairman of the SEC. I was also honored to poise the following questions to him in the public forum whith about 1500 in attendance:

"Mr. Levitt, my name is Benjamin Shell, and I and Chairman and CEO of a small publicly held company here in Oklahoma. Over the last 5 years or so, the SEC has made it easier for small companies to effect public offerings in order to raise capital.

My questions is this: As a small issuer ourselves, we find that the largest problem we face is not "going public" or filing for additional offerings, but that of the limited marketability of the public stock after the offering is completed.

Investors must have a liquid market into which to sell their shares, and our ability as a small issuer not yet listed on the NASDAQ exchange is highly restricted.

What plans or Rule changes does the SEC have to address increasing the ability of small cap company's to market their stock to investors and brokers?

HIS ANSWER: (Paraphrasing) None. However, I am personally highly interested in the success of these small companies as they grow into big companies. (etc.) If you will contact me after the meeting tonight, I would like to hear what ideas you may have along these lines.

He personally gave me his business card, and you can bet that I will be writing him about my ideas to solve this problem!
