row zita-

this should be interesting:

the article was...

and the title of the documentary is...

but will the documentary be as interesting?
the fanatical pursuit of a celebrity?
maybe. maybe not.

i used to be a rabid fan of dylan when i was a teen.
i still think a small percentage of his work is
some of the best werdball ever played... and i
admire some of his performance art and a lot of
his wit in response to fan media... but i don't
have any celebrity obsession syndrome symptoms
over him anymore. he's just another artist - as
are we all. you have occasionally written things
better than dylan and posted them here. everyone
here has. art is everywhere. no one can possess it.
it can't be owned, it can only be expressed. red
says it best, "understand art, and you understand life."

i particularly liked this comment:

"It's strange to think that for three years, at some
point of the day, I'd be thinking about Bob Dylan. It will
be nice not to have to think about that."

i feel the same way about dubbya. hope to see him
un-elected soon so i can think about sailing and
sunsets and moonrises and more important things
like standing in front of "Drinking is Fun" signs.
