Actually, this is the single most important fact behind the Fed's behavior. How the hell else do you get the world to accept - no, even demand inflation - after decades of telling them how bad a thing it is?

That's why I've gone on extra high alert here for inflation. When the Fed is telling you there is no deflation, then it's there. When the Fed is warning you of the risks of deflation, then the risk has probably already passed. But they've got a great smokescreen going behind which to steal creditors' purchasing power if they're too stupid to realize what is going on...
