The war on terrorism is a war that MUST BE fought on the enemy's home territory, just as they seek to do the same to us. Given there are only finite resources available, I prefer an active offense. Shall we invade Saudi Arabia? Western Europe has proven a very congenial base for terrorism. Respect for civil liberties, easy borders, passports that open doors around the world, large Arab populations to blend into. Shall we invade? I prefer an active offense as well. The nature of terrorism, unfortunately, limits the utility of military forces in implementing that offense.
