Paul, questions for the coming SGI announcements. I would much appreciated your comments.

1. Will the existing 64 bits software running on MIPS benefit Mercede project when port to IA 64 architect ? (If I was not wrong, R4000 is the first commerical 64 bits processor in 92')

2. SGI processors are used widly for graphic applications and systems. Nintendo and Sonny playstation both use SGI products. Would the new alliance between INTEL and SGI make an open door to each other's need ? I would not be surprised see SGI adds its own graphic processor card into P/2 based worksation.

3. MIPS R10000 is still the state of the art processor. It can be scaled to 32 processors in parallel processing. Mercede can work up to 256 processors at the smae time too. DO you tink SGI will keep both Merced worstation and MIPS workstation in the overlayed market in the future?
